This colourful show depicts the evolution of the sublime Odissi classical dance form starting from the temple sculptures of India through the various eras to the present day on-stage performance. The dance composition has been conceptualized as a story told about the incessant flow of Odissi through the ages spanning ancient sculptures, medieval times and the modern era, much like a river – ‘Tarangini’. The show will be accompanied by a narration in English.
